Pregnancy loss

Pregnancy loss can sometimes feel like a taboo topic. You may have experienced others becoming uncomfortable when you talk about your loss, or even change the subject when the conversation comes up. In this way, it can feel unlike any other type of loss; but it is not. Like any other loss, your loss may be accompanied by feelings of disbelief, anger, profound sadness, numbness, and even shame. Whether those around you seem to understand your pain, the response that you are having to your loss is still very real, and present. You are not wrong for grieving your loss; and, as grief goes, there is no precise timeline in which you need to move through it. Your loss matters, and so do you.
